Frequently Asked Questions

1. How long does a solar installation take?
Installation timelines depend on system size and complexity, but most residential setups are completed within 7 days after final approval

2. Are there any financial incentives or subsidies available for solar installations?
Yes. Under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, homeowners can avail subsidies of up to ₹78,000 for rooftop solar installations. Additionally,     there are other state-specific rebates, net metering benefits, and possible tax incentives that can significantly reduce your upfront cost. At Precision   Solar, our team will guide you through the entire subsidy application process, ensuring you maximize all available government benefits.

3. What is the installation process?

  1.  Initial Consultation – Understand your energy goals and site conditions.

  2.  Site Evaluation & Smart Design – Assess roof orientation, shading, and structure to craft an optimized system.

  3.  Installation – Safe and timely panel mounting, inverter setup, and grid connectivity.

  4.  Maintenance & Support – Performance monitoring, routine check-ups, and troubleshooting included

4. How long do solar panels last?
Most solar panels come with a 25-year warranty, and many systems operate efficiently for 25–35 years. Inverters may need replacement after 10–15   years.

5. Do solar panels work in cloudy weather?
Yes. Solar panels still generate electricity in cloudy conditions (efficiency drops by ~10–14% if not south-facing), and cooler temperatures can   improve their performance.

6. Could I go fully off-grid with solar?
You can—with battery storage. However, most systems are grid-connected to enable net metering and lower costs. Off-grid setups require                additional equipment and design planning.

7. Will my electric bill go away with solar?
Without battery backup, you’ll still get a bill—but it can be greatly reduced or nearly zeroed if paired with net metering and designed correctly for   your usage.

8. What kind of maintenance is required for a solar system?
Solar systems are designed to be low-maintenance. However, to ensure optimal performance,

  •    we recommend:  Periodic cleaning of panels to remove dust, bird droppings, and debris.

  •  Annual inspections to check electrical connections and system health.

  • Real-time monitoring to track performance and detect any issues early.

With Precision Solar, you get comprehensive post-installation support, including scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and system performance tracking — so you never have to worry.

9. How do I know if my property is suitable for solar installation?
At Precision Solar, we perform a comprehensive site assessment to evaluate your property's solar potential. Key factors we consider include:

  • Roof orientation and angle

  • Shading from trees or buildings

  • Structural strength and condition of your roof

  •  Available space for panel layout

Our experts will provide a detailed analysis and customized solar solution based on your specific site conditions, ensuring maximum efficiency and return on investment.
